Introducing Dennis Fischman of Communicate! Consulting

I spend a lot of time with leaders of both for-profit and non-profit organizations.  Those non-profit leaders want to know how they can be heard above the crowd.  Every day, there are more and more organizations forming to support one cause or another.  How can you be heard above the noise?

My for-profit leaders frequently feel unheard and disconnected from those causes they support.  They’re looking for a different relationship with their non-profits.  They want to feel like their contributions are being acknowledged, not just the financial contributions, but in-kind donations, as well.

Many non-profits are turning to social media as a way of building their communities.  However, a lack of knowledge about how to use this tool effectively turns off many potential supporters to the non-profit’s cause.  How do you overcome these challenges?

I had the opportunity to discuss some of these issues with Dennis Fischman of Communicate! Consulting.  He shared some great strategies with me on ways non-profits can communicate with their supporters and communities, both locally and on-line.

Dennis has a different way of providing connectivity by developing a communications strategy for non-profits. He has several great ideas on how to integrate the different communication platforms to build a stronger community. He also has several ideas that allow a deeper connection to the many key people in your community.

Dennis Fischman has a strong background in the non-profit and business community. He expertise includes both fundraising and grant writing.  He has worked on a wide variety of projects including developing tag lines, creating brochures, designing websites, writing and editing newsletters, and mastering the different social media platforms. On the direct response side of communications, he has written monthly email updates, quarterly newsletters, and Annual Reports.

I enjoyed what he shared in our conversations and thought you would too, so I asked him to write a guest blog for me on how to tell a better story. He came back with a great blog that we will be sharing next week.  Dennis’ guest blog next Tuesday gives you the needed tools to tell a great story that moves your supporters to action. If you can’t wait until Tuesday, you can also read Dennis’ blogs here  See you next Tuesday.
